WHAT IS KAWAKAWA?
Kawakawa is a plant found in the New Zealand native bush which has been used for centuries by Māori for its incredible healing properties. Kawakawa is one of the most important medicinal plants native to New Zealand and is recognisable by its heart shaped leaves often found with many holes.
Kawakawa leaves were traditionally used topically for numerous conditions including, bruises, rheumatism, dry and irritated skin, minor cuts and infections. Kawakawa leaves contain volatile oil and two key components of this, Myristicin and Elemicin which have been shown to exhibit anti-inflammatory properties.
This super-powered balm has all the properties, along with the potent and ever popular Hemp Seed Oil. Hemp Seed Oil has anti-inflammatory properties plus omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids to bring the skin into perfect balance, taking down inflammation, redness and soreness – making this balm fantastic for eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and extremely dry skin.
Kawakawa infused olive oil, hemp seed oil, unrefined shea butter and new zealand yellow beeswax.
